Hi Joanne & Jo,
Thank you for your expertise in conducting a very interesting !st Vigil for us.As I am totally Blind I felt the others in the group were on level terms with me in the total darkness, going round the rooms.
My son Simon & myself were thoroughly absorbed in the volatility of the table movements in response to questions asked & the ouijah board & glass high energy movements too.......
The initial Paranormal Workshop was very interesting and warmed us up to events. We have always followed the likes of Most Haunted & Yvette Fielding on TV my wife usually describes what is going on & what can be seen (ie like the tilting of the table) but it was so good to experience that energy on your vigil.
We know Chester is steeped in History & Hauntings & to experience this at such a memorable Coacking Inn, like Ye Olde Kings Head dating back to 1622, was fantastic.
Looking forward to joining you again. George & Simon Dobson 16 April 2011

I have had the great pleasure of being a guest at events run by Joanne and Jo of Moonlight Paranormal and can honestly say they are two of the most lovely natured people you could ever want to be locked in a haunted place with.
Both Joanne and Jo are very experienced and professional and I have had some wonderful nights with them on some great events.
I have experienced many strange and interesting things whilst with the two of them, some of which have been very unerving but they have always put my mind at rest and explained the reasons for the things that have happened.
I am looking forward to taking part in a Moonlight Paranormal event soon and would highly recommend them, If you are a Ghost hunting novice or a seasoned investigator these wonderful ladies will make sure you have a great experience in a safe and informed atmosphere.

Great site ,really atmospheric, and loads to look at, well done Joanne
Many thanks go to Joanne and Jo for their lovely welcome to the group and their expertise and also to Judi and her team from the Theatre who stayed with each group throughout the vigils to make sure we stayed safe - even though I tripped up twice at the same spot and the first time the lights were on - that's just clumsy me!
Bacup Theatre - well what can I say it was my first ghost hunt ever, didn't know what to expect but loved it. The very first photo that I took of the stage will all the lights on and before we started our evening gave me a huge orb so I knew it was going to be a great night. And as a spirit artist I was armed and dangerous with my charcoal and miners headlamp.
Whilst doing the vigil in the cellar the name Ellis was given to me which I assumed was a surname. The name Arthur was given to Jeanette so we assumed the man was called Arthur Ellis. I drew his picture and the picture of a boy (I got the name Charlie with the boy) and they both loved the pics because the glass we were using went dancing round the table when they saw my finished work.
When we did the vigil in the dressing rooms I was made aware of the name Lizzy and after encouraging her to 'kick her legs up' whilst we were doing table tipping - Lizzy obliged and kept knocking the table over she was kicking her legs too literally, she did this several times for us. I was also made aware of the names Jim whilst in the dressing room and later drew his picture when we did a vigil on the stage. In the dressing room I also got the name Dolly.
I loved the vigil in the bar area, we got footsteps, groans, creaks, orbs, etc and I felt someone walk right infront of me in the dark. The spirit person also mananged to set off the movement detector in the corner of the room, we were all sitting that close it couldn't have been one of us moving in the dark. Even though we had all that it felt very comforting sitting in the dark surrounded by spirit - in fact it felt very natural to me which was really surprising as I sleep with the lamp on ha ha!
I have tried to do some research into the names we got in the cellar and when I typed Arthur Ellis into google I found an Ellis Arthur Meredith who was named as 'bride's father' at his daughter Theodora Meredith's wedding in 1947 at St Nicholas Newchurch in Rossendale, Lancs. He was an 'instrument maker'. Then I also found A James E.E. Meredith who got married in 1912 in Rochdale - could he be Ellis Arthur's dad and did any of them have links with Bacup Theatre - who knows? I do know there is a Colin Meredith with links to Rochdale Theatre but don't know how to contact him to ask questions. I didn't find anything on the internet on an Arthur Ellis and I find it interesting that we were given the name Ellis before the name Arthur.
Overall a great experience and now I know what goes on on a ghost hunt I wouldn't hesitate to go on another and am looking forward especially to Foxdenton Hall in November. May give Chester a try if I can share a lift to get there.
So if you fancy a really good 'ghost hunt' check out the venues that Moonlight Paranormal have on offer - you will not be disappointed.

I had the privilidge to attend the first official ghost hunt this company held. it was absolutly amazing. with bumps bangs and i am sure if there had been music those tables would have just got up and done their own thing without any encouragement. for the novices there, they were facinated and i am sure they will nevr forget there night at Bacup. As for me it was a trully amazing experience. Thank you. ( i will be back)
